For those who you’ll who haven’t yet heard about the G1 Phone here’s the non-technical G1 Android Phone Review:
The G1 Phone has been developed by Google and hit US stores on the 22nd of October, it’s based on an open source Linux mobile platform named the Android. Google’s decision to opt for an open source platform is inline with its motto, “Don‘t be evil!”! Even at a time when Google’s competitors are charging hundreds of dollars for software licenses! The G1 Phone works on both the 2G and 3G network, however 3G is recommended if you plan frequently using the internet, especially websites like youtube.com.
What makes the G1 Android phone so special?
Since the G1 Android phone is open source, that means that developers can develop thousands of free and useful applications for G1 Phone users, thus giving you the opportunity to do a whole lot more with your G1 Phone! For those who’ve used FaceBook applications, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about! Its just that Google G1 Android is expected to have all the benefits of FaceBook’s favorite applications without all the spam and junk!

The G1 Phone has all the features of a normal multimedia phone.

The myths of the G1 being bulky and awkward are just untrue, the G1 weighs in a 158 grams and has a compact design. The G1 features a wide 3.2 inch touch screen, trackball navigation and a stunning a slide out QWERTY keyboard with push button emailing with Gmail for you to send those emails quickly.

A $399 contract free option is also available.
