Looking for a hot new G1application?
Here’s what you got to do – download and install the Shazam application on your G1 Phone. Tune in to the radio, television or website, where you listen to music on. When you get to hear a song you like and want information regarding it, record a few seconds of the song using your G1Phone’s microphone. Then send the recorded song to the “Shazam factory” and receive detailed information of the song, including – the artist name, track title, track subtitle, album name, music genre and the artist’s MySpace page!
So here’s what the Shazam Application lets you do in brief – identify the songs you like, save them, purchase them through the Amazon Android Store and connect to the artist’s MySpace page!
This is sure to be one of those applications for the G1 phone that will be on every phone out there. Shazam seems to have done a fantastic job with this one, and with such a name behind it, you can expect on time updates, fixes (if need be) and just general awesomeness.

I just got my second G1 phone (hence my first one was stolen), on my first G1 I easily searched for and successfully installed Shazam. In the other hand This G1 that I just recieved by (thanks to insurance company Asurion)will not find shazam as an app anymore. I tried searching for it several times and no app is found which is weird because I had it on my old G1. Seems like A LOT of ppl have been having that problem. Can someone PLEASE help!! I WANT SHAZAM!!!
