G1 Now Receiving Support For Meebo
10.11.08 # 5:29 # G1 Applications # One CommentMeebo is a new online networking program which allows for a very simple chat panel to contact your friends with only a single buddy list and a short login/password.
We are excited to provide Meebo users and Android enthusiasts with a new way to connect live with their friends. Enabling access to Meebo on the go means that more and more people will think ‘Meebo’ for open communications whether they are at home, work, school or none of the above!” said Seth Sternberg, founder
and CEO of Meebo. Meebo was founded in September 2005 by Sandy Jen, Elaine Wherry and Seth Sternberg and is a Californian based company.
The Meebo app doesn’t use SMS, and only charges for the data used, it isn’t resource extensive, and displays notifications in the system tray.

Adam,
Just a small note here in your article, before Meebo was deploid in the Android Market, I was looking a way to do that, get all messengers to work without SMS and just that they could use Data only,
I found several, but Meebo was the winner and you can run it through their website directly without the installed android application and indeed it works just with data, that’s good for the ones who have the $24.99 plan.
