Some Interesting G1 Statistics
27.05.09 # 13:20 # G1 Reviews # One CommentThis past May, Robert Dotson (CEO of T-Mobile) was a keynote speaker at this year’s CTIA conference (a well-known wireless communications event). During Dotson’s speech, he described how successful the G1 has been since it’s release, and also some interesting statistics that have come into fruition with today’s on-the-go customers.
I would like to share these statistics with you that were mentioned during his keynote speech:
- 80% of G1 users surf the web on a daily basis
- 4/5 of G1 users download applications from Android (G1′s application development company) on a weekly basis.
- Approximately half of T-Mobile subscribers that have purchased a G1 have traded up from a regular handset.
- Social media giant Facebook and popular video sharing site YouTube are among the most viewed websites on the G1.
- Approximately half of G1 users access wireless internet on a daily basis.
Do you fit into the demographical data listed above?

Duh, Duh, Duh, Duh, and Duh! Hello!!! Why would people have Phones that require Web Plans if they weren’t going to use them? And as for Facebook? Well that’s one of the biggest things to stay in touch. I know what’s going on with my nephew’s life more often because of Facebook than I would if I just called him on the phone from time to time. The G1 was one of the few phones I even considered getting and the TMobile rep even recommended it instead of what I had initially wanted.
