Some Android Discussion (Relating To G1 As Well)
14.10.09 # 16:19 # G1 News # 4 CommentsJust recently, the WebProNews Video team headed to SMX West 09 and discussed Android possibilities for the upcoming future with it being open source, which also encompasses the G1. With this in mind, I have provided the video below:
With Android emerging at the productive rate that it is, be ready for some more applications heading your way towards your G1 that help network and enhance your Android/G1 experience. Also, it is predicted that after 2010, it will be easier to get an Android phone (like the G1) rather than an iPhone.
On this premise, it would be great to see the G1 (or any Android-based phone) take over the whole iPhone market.

not likely to happen due to the fact that there still is no flash player! i know adobe flash player 10 is supposed to be comming but there still is no release date. also there still a great amount of places without 3g. i like my g1 but there still not up there with iphone.
I have a g1 & there are apps w/ no uninstall or icon on the desktop. I have been to Tmobile stores & they were no help. They say these apps are applicable to the operation of the phone & can’t be deleted. They can’t tell me how these apps are revelant to the operation of the phone. To my knowledge, these apps do not have any data or cache stored. These apps are field tests, html viewer, checkin service, android bug report, paackage installer, pico tts, latin input tutorial, sound recorder & etc. Whats the point in having these apps that do nothing but take up space & memory. If they are not essential to the operation of the phone, I would like to remove them. It has been quite fustrating trying to find answers when all I get is the run around. There are other apps w/ no data or cache stored. There is no point in having useless apps. Can Tmobile remove them over the air?
